Execution and processing of EJS of Estate of a Deceased Person
The properties of a person is transmitted to his/her heirs upon his/her death, either by a will or by operation of law. If the deceased person did not leave any will, the properties that he/she left behind, be it real, personal, shares of stock, or membership shares, shall be divided among the heirs through a document what is known as an Extra Judicial Settlement (EJS).
